SCHEDULE WITH KENNEDY
I believe that you are capable of the change that you are seeking. My goal as a therapist is to cultivate an experience where you can be vulnerable and experience emotional safety and new insight without external judgement. By working together, we can identify harmful patterns and implement lasting change in your life. To accomplish this, I draw on the evidence based theories of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
I am a Marriage & Family Therapist Intern currently completing my Master's Degree at Kairos University. This will be my second Master's Degree, with my first being from Ralston College in Humanities.
I have 5 years of experience working with teens in a mentorship capacity. I have worked with teens across the world providing help and support as they navigate the challenges of adolescence. In addition to strengthening the teen, I strongly encourage parental partnership alongside teens in therapy to create positive relational change for all members of the family.
I welcome couples who feel stuck in the same patterns of conflict with a lack of connection in their marriage. Together, we can work to bring the relationship to a place of emotional security and safety for both partners. I firmly believe that the relationship is my client, I am not here to take sides, but to help facilitate a healthy relationship for both people.
As a therapist with a heart towards education, my commitment is to continually learn about my clients and seek approaches and solutions that work specifically and individually for them. I welcome questions about my approach to create an environment of learning and growth.

Areas of Interest
Psychotherapy works by creating a trusting therapeutic relationship, identifying problematic thoughts, and teaching tools to shift those thoughts and change problematic behaviors. Therapy also creates an environment where safe, healing, and connecting relationships between family members can take place. A good therapist will help you feel less overwhelmed, less alone, and more empowered in your life. Many people report feeling more hopeful even after just one session.
Living in this fast paced world full of comparison and social media, pandemics and unknowns, peer pressure and high expectations, it's no wonder that so many teenagers are struggling. As a parent it can be hard to know if it's normal teenage moodiness or if your teen is struggling with something above and beyond normal teenage stress. Do you know the signs and how to help your teen if they are struggling with their mental health?
